Just in time for June's
CATCH THE READING BUG Summer Reading Program, we bring you instructions
to fold a "cootie catcher," aka "fortune teller."
How to Play:
You'll need at
least 2-4 players. Have a player choose an insect (Wasp, Tick,
Dragonfly, Fly) on the cootie catcher. Open and close the Cootie Catcher
one time for every letter of the insect. The player then selects one
of the numbered flaps revealed when you stop. Read the player's
“fortune.” If you are a librarian, you can use the cootie catcher to
determine an activity for summer reading program completion, a type of
book to read, or a prize to win. If you are just making one for fun
with your friends, you can use the cootie catcher as a fortune teller.
