INDIANA

John Tucker Hammond was born July 15, 1866 in De Kalb Co IN.  Was baptized in infancy and rec'd into the Church at the age of 12 by Rev. Parchall at Hamilton, IN.  Entered the ministry in the North Indiana Conference on trial March 26, 1897.  Was admitted to conference April 9, 1899 and ordained Deacon by Bishop E. J. Andrews at the conference session held at Decator IN.  Was ordained Elder at session held at Elwood IN April 15 1901 by Bishop S.M. Merrill was licensed as a local preacher at Richland Center by the Qr Conference of Hamilton Charge
